Many of you must have already tried your hands on the New Google Instant Search launched on 8th of September... isn’t it amazing!!!
Yes! Google is back with bang...
The incredible Instant Search Engine Launched by Google has declared that it is still the ruling king of search engine industry.
(I feel, the shout of "Caffeine Search" Sandboxcache etc. were only hype for creating a launch pad for Google Instant Search Engine in my opinion)
Well, getting back "search", "searches", and "searching" on the World Wide Web…
I'm sure you all have tried SOME Search Tricks at home or office, what I am interested in knowing is your views on New Google Instant Search???
What makes New Google Instant Search Exclusive???
Google search now displays Instant results when you type search terms or key phrases in the search box.
Here is an example, like I want to search for phrase "Reva Web Agency". So what will I do? Google it! Obviously
Now, here is the NOT so Obvious difference…
The moment I start typing I have search results for 3 words: one for "Reva"; when I write second term "Web" it will change the results and displays instantly pages for "Reva Web"; and finally, when I type "Agency" the result page will give me the result without hitting enter button.
Yes! The page moves, blinks! It plays along with user’s typing…isn’t that exciting well, for me at least… BTW, to experience this excitement you must enabled the "instant search" by logging your Google account and must have fast connection to taste the instant kick of Google Caffeine ;)
And, if you do not like rhythmic change in your search results, the function can be disabled by clicking on "Instant Search enabled" in the upper right of the page.
Another, Good News! It’s intuitive and Make Smart Search Term Predictions
Google is getting better and better with the launch of every new product. The searches are more refined and relevant than before…
Every time you write your search term, you come to know, what other users are using to learn about your search topics with Auto complete suggestions. Now, you get fast answers to queries probably faster than ever seen on search engines. I find it rather nice to have almost immediate results that appear below the search box by typing some text and just using UP/DOWN key and hit Enter ... I think this is cool and I will save time in my research. I am sure it will change the user behavior and optimized sites may get affected.
As, it is officially declared "With this change, you might notice some fluctuations in AdWords impression volume and in the distribution of organic keywords, For example, you may find that certain keywords receive significantly more or fewer impressions moving forward."
Why So???? Because users will be digging more into prediction queries and for every added search term results preview will be shown instantly. Interesting!! Now, back pages results may get chance to appear on first. Mine too yuppie!!!
Effect on Search Engine optimization and Website Rankings
So, this means optimized sites will lose some traffic and optimizers would have to optimize the sites again?
Well you never know!!! Right now can’t say exactly what changes/challenges optimizers will face to maintain site’s traffic inflow. But, looking at how users will be behaving with instant search, YES!! Optimizers will have to change their strategies because it’s only "user behavior" on which SEO is based, as it’s often seen that user’s behavior change according to search. So, instant search will help them to explore more…
Or now, in my perspective a new term will be introduced in few months i.e. "Instant Search Optimization" and SEOs will call themselves "Instant search optimizers" : D
Let’s see how Yahoo and Bing respond to Instant Search (you forgot them?)
